Our yoga takes place in an open plan yoga shala overlooking the sea and resort pool, the shala is surrounded by tropical flora and sounds of the sea, our daily yoga practice will have a focus on a variety of Asana, Pranayama (breath control), and meditation coupled with Shakti (energy) work. The Asana practice will include elements of alignment focus, moving mudra meditation and focus on bhandas leading to a safe and enlightening yoga practice. Kathy designs every yoga class for all levels ensuring it is challenging when needed but retaining its playfulness. Our interactive workshops on various topics are your opportunity to be supported and inspired to go deeper into your own practice. After a week of amazing yoga with Kathy you will have developed a greater knowledge of yoga and your yoga journey. It will leave you with renewed sense of yourself and you will just feel fantastic...
Each morning there will be a variety of foods on offer for breakfast , including coffee, omlets and toast, along with indian breakfast of pancakes and Dhall. This is including in your stay.
The surrounding area is surrounded with the most amazing restaurants of vegetarian menu as well as an array of freash seafood caught on the day. There is also a really groovy place called The Coffee Temple that searves the best coffes, fresh juice and flafal wraps. Lunch usually coast about £3 to £5 and dinner runs about £8 to £10, which usually includes appitisers, a drink and a main dish. There are many places to choose from and Kathy knows the best places and we all love to eat dinner together- more yogi bonding...

Ayur Holy Beach Resort has designed cottages wtih sea views and beautiful garden views with A/C facilities and ensuite bathrooms. Each cottage is designed for 2 people and is to be booked directly with Black Lotus Yoga.
They have a stunning open air dining facility, sea view and lounge area all over looking the amazing Indian Ocean. The facilities is a few min. walk to Black Sand Beach, shopping and amazing food.
These bedrooms line the swimming pool - sitting on top of the rock and offer views out over the pool, trees and sea beyond. Your own tropical paradise.
All Rooms have ensuites, air con, fresh daily linens, towels, tea kettle, refridgerator, free bottle water daily, toiletries, and hair dryer on request.

Kathy's approach to yoga is one that honors the need for individual self study with the aim of improving interpersonal relations and common-unity. Kathy has studied yoga since 1999, with teachers such as Duncan Wong, Shiva Rae, Desiree Rumbaugh, Bikram, Larry Shultz and Iyengar.
By combing asana, meditation and pranayama, Kathy provides an opportunity to explore the Spiritual through the Physical. Kathy works to bring the study of yoga off the mat and into the practice of Life. "Yoga is an amazing experience and it is my greatest joy to share this ancient practice with others".
She has over 10,000 hours of teaching experience and holds a Sports Yoga Certification, 200 hour vinyasa certification, 200 hours Anusara inspired teacher, Masters degree in Physical Science and is a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.
It is the perfect balance of effort and surrender-nurture yourself with challenging Vinyasa yoga in the mornings, then explore your personal practice and some fun advancements. It is all suitable for most abilities.
The Vinyasa will be creative, flowing and challenging. There will be extra optional workshops/CPD's throughout the 7 days, covering partner yoga, the 8 limbs of yoga, chakras, arm balances and inversions, and pranayama, plus beautiful sunrise and starlit meditations some mornings and evenings. Pick and choose, do a little or a lot, it is your holiday, Enjoy. The retreat setting allows for plenty of individual guidance so that we’ll be able to work with your specific level and requirements.
