Join Kathy for this 9 night 10 Days awakening yoga retreat and holiday at the stunning Koh Samui Resort and yoga retreat centre in Thailand.
 

YOGA

Your yoga takes place on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand in an open plan yoga shala overlooking the beautiful ocean, the shala is surrounded by tropical flora and boasts freash air and sunshine, our daily yoga practice will have a focus on a variety of Asana, Pranayama (breath control), and meditation coupled with therapeutic yoga on some evenings. The Asana practice will include elements of alignment focus, moving mudra meditation and focus on bhandas leading to a safe and enlightening yoga practice. Kathy designs every yoga class for all levels ensuring it is challenging when needed but retaining its playfulness.  Our interactive lectures on various topics are your opportunity to be supported and inspired to go deeper into your own practice. After 9 days of amazing yoga with Kathy you will have developed a greater knowledge of yoga and your yoga journey. It will leave you with a renewed sense of yourself and you will feel fantastic...

The Retreat centre offers Brunch and Dinner included in your stay.

The menu is inspired by a collaboration between 2 amazing chefs. An award-winning chef from Berlin – the talented and passionate Boris Lauser. A published author and a world-class chef, also Europe’s best raw food chef award winner.

 

Teamed up with our own Cyril Schivo from Paris, who lived and worked as a chef in 8 different countries, his gigs included the famous restaurant at the Ritz in Paris and even being a full-time private chef for a president in Africa.

 

The ethos of this retreat is 100% health and well-being, giving you time to relax, unwind and reconnect. BUT for those looking for a bit of a party, there is plenty to do on the island, including pubs and beach parties.

 All costs include ensuite accommodation, air con, balcony, wifi (DBL Occupancy),  brunch, dinner,  yoga, lectures, and meditation.

The beautiful Ocean Rooms offer every convenience. Rest and recharge in a king- sized bed (or request two twins) and awaken to the sounds of nature and the beautiful sunrise that will energize you for the day ahead. Step out onto your private balcony to enjoy the fresh island air, relax and read a book or meditate and feel at one with the natural surroundings. A stay in one of our Ocean Rooms is restful, relaxing and inspiring.

 

Please note all the ocean rooms are slightly different, you can see in the pictures interiors vary from room to room, but they are all of the same standard. Also some have better views, while the other ones are better decorated and furnished. Either way they are conveniently located and are our best room category.

All rooms have a balcony with views of tropical garden or the sea, A/C , WIFI and ensuite bathrooms.

The resort has three pools and 3 private beaches on site, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Each room is designed for 2 people and is to be booked directly with Black Lotus Yoga.

GETTING TO Koh Samui

Price excludes flights, the nearest airport is in Koh Samui.

Please check restrictions and guidelines for entry into Thailand.

*I would suggest staying a few extra days on neighbouring islands for a full experience.

It is the perfect balance of effort and surrender-nurture yourself with challenging Vinyasa yoga in the mornings, then explore your personal practice and some fun advancements.  It is all suitable for most abilities. 

 The morning Vinyasa will be creative, flowing and challenging and we slow down in the evening class where we will cover a variety of topics in a workshop setting including:m covering partner yoga, the 8 limbs of yoga, chakras, arm balances,  inversions, and pranayama.  Pick and choose, do a little or a lot, it is your holiday to enjoy. The retreat setting allows for plenty of individual guidance so that we’ll be able to work with your specific level and requirements. Getting away in a beautiful setting to practice yoga is just amazing and will leave you feeling refreshed and revived.

About Kathy:

 

 Kathy's approach to yoga is one that honors the need for individual self study with the aim of improving interpersonal relations and common-unity. Kathy has studied yoga since 1999, with teachers such as Duncan Wong, Shiva Rae, Desiree Rumbaugh, Bikram, Larry Shultz and Iyengar.

.

By combing asana, meditation and pranayama, Kathy provides an opportunity to explore the Spiritual through the Physical. Kathy works to bring the study of yoga off the mat and into the practice of Life. "Yoga is an amazing experience and it is my greatest joy to share this ancient practice with others".

 

She has over 10,000 hours of teaching experience and holds a Sports Yoga Certification, 200 hour vinyasa certification, 200 hours Anusara inspired teacher, Masters degree in Physical Science and is a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Elder with The Independent Yoga Network.
